Illumination Night August 4, 2017

 Last year at April Cornell we made our own lanterns....

 This year we were able to purchase some lanterns.....

 I understand this tradition started with the tent residents, would get close to their neighbors and miss them at Christmas time.  So, they started decorating with lights during the summer to celebrate with their friends.

 I do sort of start feeling the anticipation, like I do at Christmas time.

Can't wait to walk around and see all the lanterns and decorations and stay in town to chat with the lovely residents of Ocean Grove.  There is music and food in the park outside of the Great Auditorium  and all are welcome.  I will have my new phone to take much better pictures at night too!
